Adam T10s Active Studio Subwoofer (Single Unit)

Heel kort, wat het geluid betreft prima sub! maar de forse klik die je hoort bij het opstarten kan ik niet oké vinden wat wel jammer is voor een goed merk als ADAM. Heb dan uiteindelijk voor een ander merk gekozen en ben ook zeer tevreden over de flexibele service bij Bax Music.

Ik gebruik de T10s alweer een tijdje en hij blijft mij verbazen. Er zit een lekker accuraat geluid en is qua formaat prima te gebruiken in elke studio. Ik gebruik ze in combinatie met de T7v's met de crossover op 80 hz. Het kan aan mijn studio liggen, maar het lijkt de het frequentiebereik daar (tussen 80-90hz) wat dipt. Verder is het een prima sub en zeker voor deze prijs.

Uitstekende bas uitbreiding. Maakt ook weer hoorbaar dat er bij sommige muziek er wel heel veel diepe bas onder zit. Kortom, helemaal perfect wordt het nooit. In mijn kamer van 35 m2 meer dan voldoende volume.

De drempel om automatisch in te schakelen ligt wat hoog, moet soms het volume iets omhoog zetten, en weer terug. Bij uit- en in-schakelen, een fikse "klik" hoorbaar. Moet de kabels nog vervangen door XLR, wellicht is dat dan ook in orde. Deze sub-woofer zet het cinch signaal om naar XLR, handig voor de Genelec.

Ik gebruik een Arylic streamer met ingebouwde DSP. Met room-eq-wizard en minidsp microfoon de elementaire "room modes" aangepast, onder de Schroder frequency.

Broken after 6 months, sent it for warranty, 2 months lost, and got the same unit returned. Talking now with adam audio to solve it, but otherwise, get a more expensive subwoofer. Cheap becomes expensive often times...

All in all, a great subwoofer for the price. I use it with a pair of ADAM A7X, a Topping E30 dac, atom jds pre amp. I bought also pedal switch, switch topper, XLR cables Stagg, also here. All great stuff. Very happy with the sub, it makes the speakers have so much more impact, now they sound like very expensive speakers. Before they went low, but now is so much better. The switch is a great option. The included crossover is extremely easy to set, and works so seamless and great directly, no need to play with dials. I set it at 80, balance output levels of sub and sats... You really do not hear the sub, you just feel the impact, it really goes seamless with speakers. Now, location will be key, of course, location is a whole other story, but just like with any other sub.



The cons:
- The auto feature can not be disabled, and it needs a certain level to remain active, low volume all the time turns it off.
- Bottom firing has advantages and disadvantages. Also, subwoofer location problems... not stereo wwhen using just one. Same as with any other subwoofer.
- To have all freq. to satellites, the subwoofer has to be set to bypass, can't limit the sub freq anymore, it tries to play all the freqs...

Ik gebruik de sub samen met HEDD 05 monitoren en ben er erg tevreden over. Lekker diep laag en met zijn eigen volume control goed op de monitoren af te stemmen. Enige minpuntjes vind ik het ontbreken van een uit knop en een bypass knop. Om de sub te kunnen bypassen heb je nog een pedaal nodig, dat er niet bij zit. Maargoed, voor deze prijs zeer tevreden met het geluid en daar gaat het uiteindelijk om.
